Operation El Dorado Canyon

American air-strikes against Libya on April 14, 1986. Aircraft flying from RAF Lakenheath in Britain and the US Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean struck five targets that were hoped would reduce the ability of Libya to support and train terrorists.
