Open content movement

This is yet another variation on the "open movement" theme. Others include the open systems movement[?], open source movement, open information movement, etc.

The open content movement seeks the cataloging and/or accumulation of nonproprietary[?] knowledge; particularly machine readable knowledge about subjects other than computer programming.
