Opal is a town located in Lincoln County, Wyoming. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 102.

Geography Opal is located at 41°46'14" North, 110°19'33" West (41.770449, -110.325918)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²). 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 102 people, 40 households, and 26 families residing in the town. The population density is 91.6/km² (236.8/mi²). There are 48 housing units at an average density of 43.1/km² (111.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 99.02% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.98% from two or more races. 5.88% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 40 households out of which 40.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.0% are married couples living together, 7.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.0% are non-families. 32.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.55 and the average family size is 3.31.
