Oologah is a town located in Rogers County, Oklahoma. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 883.

Geography Oologah is located at 36°26'36" North, 95°42'34" West (36.443268, -95.709399)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.2 km² (0.9 mi²). 2.2 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 883 people, 342 households, and 258 families residing in the town. The population density is 401.1/km² (1,039.5/mi²). There are 366 housing units at an average density of 166.3/km² (430.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 71.12% White, 0.11% African American, 13.36% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.11% from other races, and 15.29% from two or more races. 1.02% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 342 households out of which 42.1% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.0% are married couples living together, 18.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 24.3% are non-families. 22.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.58 and the average family size is 3.03.

In the town the population is spread out with 31.6% under the age of 18, 8.6% from 18 to 24, 27.7% from 25 to 44, 22.1% from 45 to 64, and 10.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 33 years. For every 100 females there are 89.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 84.1 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $33,977, and the median income for a family is $40,625. Males have a median income of $37,500 versus $25,000 for females. The per capita income for the town is $16,493. 9.8% of the population and 7.5% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 14.7% are under the age of 18 and 6.9% are 65 or older.
