Redirected from On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft
The first part is an autobiography. It centers around literature and writing, but it isn't only about that. King's drug problems, for instance, are freely discussed.
The second part consists of advice for aspiring writers, mixed with descriptions of how Stephen King goes about writing his novels and why they develop they way they do.
The third (much shorter) part is once again autobiographical, describing the incident in 1999 when King was run down by a van. He was severely injured, but managed to recover.
