Old World warbler

Old World Warblers, family Sylviidae are a group of small insectivorous passerine birds.

They mainly occur, as the name implies, in Europe, Asia and Africa.

There are several genera in this large group, inluding:

• Phylloscopus leaf warblers
• Locustella grasshopper warblers
• Acrocephalus flat-headed warblers[?]
• Hippolais tree warbler
• Cisticola cisticolas
• Prinia prinias
• Cettia bush warblers[?]
• Tesia ground warblers[?]
• Bradypterus brush warblers[?]
• Seicurcus flycatcher warblers[?]
• Orthotomus tailorbirds[?]

The Kinglets (Regulus, family Regulidae) are also often placed in the family Sylviidae.
