Okefenoke

The Okefenokee is a shallow, 400,000-acre, peat-filled wetland located near the southern border of Georgia, USA. It is the largest fresh water swamp in North America. It began as a prehistoric salt marsh. The name comes from Indian meaning "trembling earth."
