Ohiopyle is a borough located in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 77.

Geography Ohiopyle is located at 39°52'5" North, 79°29'35" West (39.868130, -79.492929)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²). 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 14.29% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 77 people, 34 households, and 21 families residing in the borough. The population density is 72.5/km² (185.9/mi²). There are 44 housing units at an average density of 41.4/km² (106.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 1.30% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 34 households out of which 26.5% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 38.2% are married couples living together, 26.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.3% are non-families. 32.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.26 and the average family size is 2.82.

In the borough the population is spread out with 24.7% under the age of 18, 2.6% from 18 to 24, 27.3% from 25 to 44, 29.9% from 45 to 64, and 15.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 38 years. For every 100 females there are 75.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 81.3 males.

The median income for a household in the borough is $22,083, and the median income for a family is $25,833. Males have a median income of $43,125 versus $20,625 for females. The per capita income for the borough is $10,247. 20.8% of the population and 18.2% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 0.0% are under the age of 18 and 55.6% are 65 or older.
