OGM

OGM meaning Ogg Media File, was developed by Tobias Waldogels. It is an advanced video format, which can do many things what obsolete AVI can't:

subtitle tracks
many audio tracks ([[MP3, AC3, Ogg Vorbis, WAV)
chapters
Ogg Vorbis audio support

Unfortunately OGM isn't open source although it is based to open source Ogg framework. It is anyway supported in Windows with OggDS (http://tobias.everwicked.com/) filters and in Linux MPlayer. It is clear that Matroska will beat OGM in long run, because it is multiplatform and opensource.
