Oakland International Airport is located in Oakland, California and serves the San Francisco, California metroregion.
The San Francisco Bay Area has three international airports. San Francisco International Airport is overcrowded, and Oakland is starting to get crowded as well. Oakland International is popular with low cost airlines, and will expand whole San Francisco International will remain stagnant.
