North Ottawa Township, Minnesota

North Ottawa Township is a township located in Grant County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the township had a total population of 69.

Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 92.6 km² (35.8 mi²). 92.6 km² (35.8 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 69 people, 27 households, and 21 families residing in the township. The population density is 0.7/km² (1.9/mi²). There are 28 housing units at an average density of 0.3/km² (0.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 98.55% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.45% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 27 households out of which 29.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.4% are married couples living together, 3.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.2% are non-families. 14.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.56 and the average family size is 2.81.

In the township the population is spread out with 26.1% under the age of 18, 10.1% from 18 to 24, 23.2% from 25 to 44, 24.6% from 45 to 64, and 15.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 42 years. For every 100 females there are 91.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 96.2 males.

Out of the total people living in poverty, 13.0% are under the age of 18 and 0.0% are 65 or older.
