Nieuwpoort is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Nieuwpoort proper and the towns of Ramskapelle[?] and Sint-Joris[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Nieuwpoort had a total population of 10,261 (5,016 males and 5,245 females). The total area is 31.60 km² which gives a population density of 324.72 inhabitants per km².
