Ngo Dinh Nhu

Younger brother and chief political advisor of Ngo Dinh Diem. Ngo Dinh Nhu ran his brother's regime of secret political movements, the Can Lao. He was assassinated, along with his brother, during the 1963 coup. Nhu's wife, Madame Ngo Dinh Nhu[?] or "Madame Nhu", was also influential on government policy and, since her brother-in-law leader was unmarried, was regarded as the "First Lady" of Vietnam.
