Newquay, United Kingdom

Redirected from Newquay, Cornwall

Newquay is now a major tourist destination in Cornwall, principally on account of the many long and accessible sandy beaches. In former times it was a small fishing village.

The resort styles itself "The Surfing Capital of Britain", and is also known for the summer "Run to the Sun", when multitudes of young persons descend on the town in VW Camper vans and similar vehicles.
