New Albany is a borough located in Bradford County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 306.

Geography New Albany is located at 41°36'2" North, 76°26'30" West (41.600441, -76.441720)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.2 km² (0.5 mi²). 1.2 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 306 people, 126 households, and 77 families residing in the borough. The population density is 246.1/km² (642.3/mi²). There are 147 housing units at an average density of 118.2/km² (308.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 99.02% White, 0.00% African American, 0.98% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.65% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 126 households out of which 27.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.4% are married couples living together, 10.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 38.1% are non-families. 31.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.43 and the average family size is 3.01.

In the borough the population is spread out with 25.5% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 27.8% from 25 to 44, 22.9% from 45 to 64, and 15.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 37 years. For every 100 females there are 108.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 88.4 males.

The median income for a household in the borough is $29,444, and the median income for a family is $29,464. Males have a median income of $31,875 versus $23,750 for females. The per capita income for the borough is $15,209. 15.0% of the population and 12.7% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 16.4% are under the age of 18 and 22.5% are 65 or older.
