Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 3,711 people, 1,263 households, and 1,030 families residing in the village. The population density is 160.5/km² (415.7/mi²). There are 1,424 housing units at an average density of 61.6/km² (159.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 94.18% White, 1.56% African American, 0.32% Native American, 2.75% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.35% from other races, and 0.84% from two or more races. 0.81% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,263 households out of which 46.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.1% are married couples living together, 4.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 18.4% are non-families. 15.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
