Neutral

Physics: Neutral particles have zero total charge. For atoms, this means that they have as many electrons as they hold protons in their nucleus. An atom that is not neutral is called an ion.

Politics: A neutral country takes no side in a war between other parties, and in return hopes to avoid being attacked by either of them. Examples: Switzerland during both World Wars; India and Finland during the Cold War.
