Network 2

Network 2 is Ireland's second TV channel. It is owned and operated by Radio Telefís Éireann[?] (RTÉ), Ireland's state broadcaster. The channel began life as RTÉ 2 in 1978, and was relaunched as Network 2 in 1988.

Network 2 carries children's programmes during the daytime and sports and American imports in the evenings. It is also the home of RTÉ's live sports coverage.

Network 2 is universally available across Ireland on the VHF and UHF bands, and is also available on satellite to Republic of Ireland subscribers to Sky Digital[?].
