In
Irish mythology Nemain (alternative spelling
Nemhain) was a goddess of war, maybe another aspect of
Morrigan. Her name means 'panic', and causing it among warriors was her specialty; it is said that in the war between
Ulster and
Connacht lots of warriors died because of this. The god
Neit[?] was her husband.
