Needham is a town located in Choctaw County, Alabama. As of the 2000 census, the population of the town is 97.

Geography Needham is located at 31°59'10.817" North, 88°20'19.662" West (31.986338, -88.338795).

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.5 km² (0.6 mi²). 1.5 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 97 people, 39 households, and 32 families residing in the town. The population density is 65.7/km² (169.4/mi²). There are 46 housing units at an average density of 31.2/km² (80.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 39 households out of which 30.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.8% are married couples living together, 10.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 17.9% are non-families. 17.9% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.49 and the average family size is 2.81.

In the town the population is spread out with 20.6% under the age of 18, 4.1% from 18 to 24, 29.9% from 25 to 44, 26.8% from 45 to 64, and 18.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 42 years. For every 100 females there are 98.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 92.5 males.
