National Post

The National Post is a large Canadian English language national newspaper based in Toronto.

The Post was founded in 1998 by Conrad Black to combat what he saw as an over-liberalizing of editorial policy in Canadian newspapers. Ever since day one, the Post has been staunchly conservative. The paper has been a moderate success, but has been losing the circulation and profit battle to the Globe and Mail.

In 2001 the paper was sold to Canwest Global[?] Communications.
