Nanni di Banco

Nanni di Banco (c.1384-1421) was a Florentine sculptor. His work includes:
  • A sculpture of St. Luke (1408)
  • Quattro Santi Coronati (Four Saints) (1408-13) at Orsanmichele; this sculpture is strongly influenced by the classical tradition
  • Assumption of the Virgin (1414-21) above the Porta della Mandorla of Florence's cathedral

Giorgio Vasari includes a biography of Nanni di Banco in his Lives.
