Nandor

In the works of J. R. R. Tolkien, the fictional Nandor (meaning Those who turn back) are Elves of Teleri descent. As Sindarin became the dominant language of the Elves of Middle-earth, Nandorin, the language of the Nandor, faded away, remaining mainly only in old place names.
