Morocco includes forms of music descended from Arabs, Spaniards and West Africans, along with imported pop music.

Gnawa[?] - descended from slaves brought from Mali in the 16th century, gnawa includings hand clapping[?] and sintir[?] or gimbri[?] (string instruments); it is often played at healing ceremonies
