Mr. Spock

One of the most famous characters from the original Star Trek television series is the Vulcan Mr. Spock, played by Leonard Nimoy.

Spock was the son of the Vulcan ambassador Sarek by his human wife Amanda, and although he identified himself as a Vulcan, he had an ongoing internal conflict between the reason and logic of his Vulcan half and the emotion and intuition of his human half. On the USS Enterprise, he was Science Officer under Christopher Pike, and later First Officer and Science Officer under James T. Kirk.
