Monowi, Nebraska

Monowi is a village located in Boyd County, Nebraska. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 2. According to the United States Census Bureau it is one of only 5 places in the United States with a population of two people. The others are Twombly, Maine, Hove Mobile Park, North Dakota, Success Township, New Hampshire, and Oil Springs Reservation, Cattaraugus County, New York.

Geography Monowi is located at 42°49'44" North, 98°19'45" West (42.828970, -98.329141)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²), none of which is covered by water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there is one married couple living in the territory. Both are white and above 65, their median age is 67 years. The income for this household is $11,250, or $6,167 per capita. The population density is 3.7/km² (9.4/mi²). There are 4 housing units at an average density of 7.4/km² (18.8/mi²).
