The Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company (3M) is an American corporation that produces a widely diversified range of products.

The company was established in Duluth, Minnesota in 1902, but soon moved its headquarters to St. Paul, where it remains to this day. It has greatly expanded from its original product line of coated abrasives[?], to the point where 3M is one of the 30 companies included in the Dow Jones Industrial Average, and is number 126 in the 2002 Fortune 500[?] listing. Their most recognized brands are the Scotchtm line of products and Post Ittm notes.

3M trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol MMM.
