Milton is an unorganized territory located in Oxford County, Maine. As of the 2000 census, the unorganized territory had a total population of 123.

Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the unorganized territory has a total area of 38.7 km² (15.0 mi²). None of the area is covered with water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 123 people, 47 households, and 32 families residing in the unorganized territory. The population density is 3.2/km² (8.2/mi²). There are 61 housing units at an average density of 1.6/km² (4.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the unorganized territory is 100.00% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 47 households out of which 40.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.9% are married couples living together, 17.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.9% are non-families. 27.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.62 and the average family size is 2.97.

In the unorganized territory the population is spread out with 27.6% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 32.5% from 25 to 44, 22.8% from 45 to 64, and 8.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 34 years. For every 100 females there are 95.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 107.0 males.

The median income for a household in the unorganized territory is $33,750, and the median income for a family is $33,750. Males have a median income of $26,607 versus $21,250 for females. The per capita income for the unorganized territory is $16,450. 15.7% of the population and 15.6% of families are below the poverty line.
