Mette-Marit, Crown Princess of Norway

Mette-Marit, Crown Princess of Norway, born Mette-Marit Tjessem-Høiby on August 19, 1973.

She married Crown Prince Haakon on August 25, 2001. She was an anthropology student, a part-time waitress, and the mother of a young son, Marius, who was four years old when his mother married the Crown Prince.
