Merops
In Greek mythology, several distinct people shared the name Merops
- King of Ethiopia, husband of Clymene, father of Pandareus
- King of Percote[?], had two sons who were killed at the Trojan War by Diomedes
- King of Cos, after the death of his wife, he grieved so hard Hera placed him among the stars.
Merops is also the genus name of the bee-eater.
