Merbes-le-Château is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Hainaut. On January 1st, 2002 Merbes-le-Château had a total population of 3,995 (1,957 males and 2,038 females). The total area is 30.79 km² which gives a population density of 129.75 inhabitants per km².
