Melissa Joan Hart

Melissa Joan Catherine Hart (born April 18, 1976) is an American actress, better known just as Melissa Joan Hart.

Hart, whose family includes her father, William Hart, her mother and agent Paula Hart[?], her stepfather, television executive Leslie Gilliams[?], eight sisters and one brother, began acting early on. When she was a baby, she made her first commercial, for a brand named Splashy Bath. At the age of five, she had already been in 25 commercials.

At the age of nine, she began acting in Saturday Night Life[?]. She lasted there until 1986. During that time, she also appeared in many other shows, among them The Equalizer[?] and the mini-series Cain and Abel.

In 1989, she auditioned for the broadway production The Crucible, alongside Martin Sheen. She got the job and it paved the way for her to get the job as the main character in the show Clarissa Explains It All[?]. Clarissa Explains It All, a comedy about a teen girl who got into everyday situations, became a big hit and was aired for about five seasons. This gave her much fame and recognition. She became a household name among American teenagers.

After this show was cancelled, she decided to invest in a higher education, and went to New York University. But acting called upon her once again, and in 1994, she got the main role for the tv movie Sabrina The Teenage Witch[?], which eventually led to her also starring as Sabrina in a tv series that is now in it's eighth season. In between, she also got a job in the tv series Touched by an Angel[?].

In 1999, Melissa finally got into movies, landing a small part in a movie named Cant Hardly Wait[?], and then starring in Drive Me Crazy[?], a movie that includes a number one hit by Britney Spears on it's soundtrack.

Melissa Joan recently moved to Los Angeles, where she continues filming Sabrina episodes.
