Meet the Residents

Meet The Residents was the first full-length release from avant garde group The Residents. It was released in 1974 on East Side Records. The cover was a parody of The Beatles' first album; as a result, Capitol Records was angry and threatened to sue (though it is rumored that George Harrison or Ringo Starr loved the cover and bought a copy). The original pressing of the album sold a mere 40 copies in the first year.
