Medley is a town located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,098.

Geography Medley is located at 25°51'30" North, 80°20'21" West (25.858307, -80.339141)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 11.1 km² (4.3 mi²). 9.8 km² (3.8 mi²) of it is land and 1.3 km² (0.5 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 12.09% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 1,098 people, 363 households, and 267 families residing in the town. The population density is 112.2/km² (290.7/mi²). There are 387 housing units at an average density of 39.5/km² (102.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 84.15% White, 7.29% African American, 0.18% Native American, 1.91% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 4.10% from other races, and 2.37% from two or more races. 72.59% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 363 households out of which 34.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.3% are married couples living together, 12.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.4% are non-families. 20.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.76 and the average family size is 3.15.

In the town the population is spread out with 23.7% under the age of 18, 4.9% from 18 to 24, 29.1% from 25 to 44, 26.7% from 45 to 64, and 15.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 100.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 101.4 males.

The median income for a household in the town is $23,167, and the median income for a family is $25,909. Males have a median income of $26,964 versus $18,409 for females. The per capita income for the town is $11,955. 20.0% of the population and 14.3% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 16.0% are under the age of 18 and 33.5% are 65 or older.
