Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 1,172 people, 480 households, and 304 families residing in the city. The population density is 422.9/km² (1,099.1/mi²). There are 591 housing units at an average density of 213.3/km² (554.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 95.82% White, 0.17% African American, 2.30% Native American, 0.09% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.02% from other races, and 0.60% from two or more races. 1.96% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
