Mayhem (musical group)

Mayhem is a black metal band. The original band members were Euronymous, (played lead guitar), Manheim (played the drums), Messiah (vocals), and Necrobutcher (played the bass). Dead later replaced Messiah at lead vocals. At the same time Messiah left the band and Hellhammer replaced him. Band members Dead and Euronymous, are sometimes referred to as the godfathers of Black Metal.
