Matsumoto

Matsumoto city located almost center of Nagano where almost center of Japan and surrounded mountain with beautiful views. When you feel like to climb the mountain, you can go with just a knapsack and get on the bus. Matsumoto has several traditional typical cultures, such as Matsumoto Jyo (traditonal Japanese castle) Kaichi gakkou(Kaichi school) and Temari (traditional Japanese handball). Matsumoto Jyo was built more than 400 years ago, which are called Karas Jyo (Crow castle) because of its black appearance. You can enter in the castle if you pay, and it is not so expensive so I recommend you to go into the castle and see around. Kaichi gakkou is the first junior high school in the Japan. You can also get into by paying but I think you don't need to. The beautiful appearance of Kaichi gakkou is enough to attract you. Matsumoto's attractive thing is not only the traditional culture but also its calm climate and other products. In Matsumoto, Soba is famous food and once you ate, you would surprise its delicate taste. In addition, Saitou Kinen Orchestra (Saitou commemorate orchestra) hold every year in summer to autumn and many famous musicians come to play the musical instrument such as Seiji Ozawa. It is really popular and difficult to get tickets and many people wait in the line from two days before it begins to sell.
