Masonna

Masonna is the noise music project of Yamazaki Maso. Maso has said before that the name is a reference to US pop music star Madonna. After Merzbow, he is perhaps the best known Japanese noise artist.

Maso says that he became interested in making noise music when he heard the sounds of destruction on television as a child.

He is most known for his wild live performances which usually consist of damaging his equipment and jumping around madly. He has given entire concerts which last only a few seconds.
