Mark Wahlberg (born
June 25,
1971) is an American entertainer, now known primarily as an actor. He first came to fame as the younger brother of
Donnie Wahlberg[?] of the
New Kids on the Block. After his brother's
bubblegum pop group ended, Mark began recording as
Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch, earning a hit with "Good Vibrations" from
Music for the People[?]. His second LP,
You Gotta Believe[?], was a relative failure. In the next few years, Wahlberg was seen most prominently in a series of
underwear ads from
Calvin Klein[?]. He then began an acting career, earning extremely positive reviews.
