Marcy Playground

Marcy Playground is the name of the rock band from The Marcy Playground.

Lead singer, John Wozniak formed this band back in the early 1990s. For a short while they were stationed out in Olympia, Washington sharing warehouse space with bands such as Nirvana , Blue Moon and Company (lead singer, Jason Frost and John Wozniak shared a college dorm). Marcy Playground's song hit Sex and Candy[?] was #1 chart topper in the mid 1990s. Most recently their music can be heard on the soundtrack of Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back.

The band takes its name from a playground in the Marcy neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota, just north of the University of Minnesota.
