Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 92.5 km² (35.7 mi²). 71.7 km² (27.7 mi²) of it is land and 20.7 km² (8.0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 22.40% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 405 people, 147 households, and 109 families residing in the township. The population density is 5.6/km² (14.6/mi²). There are 329 housing units at an average density of 4.6/km² (11.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 38.77% White, 0.00% African American, 52.35% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 8.89% from two or more races. 0.74% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 147 households out of which 36.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.0% are married couples living together, 12.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.2% are non-families. 21.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
