Mantoloking is a borough located in Ocean County, New Jersey. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 423.

Geography Mantoloking is located at 40°2'50" North, 74°2'59" West (40.047149, -74.049776)1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.7 km² (0.7 mi²). 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.6 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 33.33% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 423 people, 207 households, and 140 families residing in the borough. The population density is 371.2/km² (958.6/mi²). There are 522 housing units at an average density of 458.1/km² (1,183.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 97.64% White, 1.65% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.47% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.24% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 0.71% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 207 households out of which 11.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.8% are married couples living together, 3.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.9% are non-families. 30.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 16.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.02 and the average family size is 2.45.

In the borough the population is spread out with 10.2% under the age of 18, 3.8% from 18 to 24, 10.6% from 25 to 44, 39.2% from 45 to 64, and 36.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 58 years. For every 100 females there are 96.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 91.0 males.

The median income for a household in the borough is $105,841, and the median income for a family is $125,000. Males have a median income of $100,000 versus $64,167 for females. The per capita income for the borough is $114,017. 0.8% of the population and 0.0% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total people living in poverty, 0.0% are under the age of 18 and 2.2% are 65 or older.
