Manipulative therapy

Manipulative therapy involves use of massage and other physical manipulation of the body for healing. Manipulative therapy is used in chiropractic medicine, osteopathic medicine, alternative medicine and by mainstream medical practitioners. It has a long history going back to the practice of laying on of hands. It relies partially upon the placebo effect and may be effective in providing both short and long term relief.
