Mamma Mia

Mamma Mia! is a musical based on the songs of ABBA, and includes such ABBA hits as Super Trouper, Dancing Queen, Thank You for the Music, The Winner Takes It All and Mamma Mia. It was written by British playwright Catherine Johnson.

The story centres around Sophie, who is just about to get married, and her mother, Donna. Sophie wants her father to give her away at her wedding, but Donna isn't sure which one of three men he might be.

Mamma Mia! premiered in London on April 6, 1999 at the Prince Edward Theatre, and opened in North America at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto, Ontario on May 23, 2000.
