Machelen

Machelen is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Diegem[?] and Machelen proper. On January 1st, 2000 Machelen had a total population of 11,838 (5,698 males and 6,140 females). The total area is 11.50 km² which gives a population density of 1,029.39 inhabitants per km².
