Maarkedal

Maarkedal is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Etikhove[?], Maarke-Kerkem[?], Nukerke[?] and Schorisse[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Maarkedal had a total population of 6,448 (3,148 males and 3,300 females). The total area is 45.66 km² which gives a population density of 141.22 inhabitants per km².
