M107

The M107 155mm projectile is the US Army's standard high-explosive (HE) projectile used principally for fragmentation and blast effects. The body consists of a hollow steel shell containing high explosive. A fuze adapter is screwed into the body and brazed in place.

Messier object M107, also known as NGC 6171, is a very loose globular cluster close to the galactic plane in the constellation Ophiuchus, about 20,000 light years from Earth.
