M. Night Shyamalan

Manoj Night Shyamalan (born August 6, 1970) (pronounced SHAW-ma-lawn) is a writer and director of mostly supernatural films who achieved popularity beginning around 1999. He is best known for writing and directing the movies The Sixth Sense (1999), Unbreakable (2000), and Signs (2002).

He was born in Pondicherry, India and attended New York University's film school.
