Lwaxana Troi

She is the mother of Deanna Troi, and of Betazoid[?] descent, a race noted for their telepathic abilities. She came to the Enterprise D on several occasions, all of them resulting in interesting situations. The most notable involve her search for a husband, fixing her sights at various times on a Ferengi, a dying man, and Captain Jean-Luc Picard.

Although a kind and light hearted woman, she was burdened by the death of her first daughter, Kestra[?].

Her full title is "Daughter of the Fifth House, Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Riix, Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed." She has a tendency to frequently remind people of this fact, especially in situations where she feels slighted.

Lwaxana is frequently accompanied by her ubiquitous companion, Mr. Homn[?].
