Luxembourgish language

Letzburgesch or Luxembourgian (in French, Luxembourgeois; in German, Luxemburgisch; in Luxembourgish Lëtzebuergesch) is a West Germanic dialect spoken in Luxembourg.

Luxembourgish belongs to the Middle German[?] group of High German languages, like standard German. However, it's not intelligible to most Germans. Standard German is called "High German" in Luxembourg, where it is used for official purposes.
